I may not be having a fun time addressing invitations, dealing with trolley companies, and regretting the lack of flower power in the wedding, but I do have a little something-something to cheer me up: My dress will soon be here!

IS THE NAME “DEAN” SIMILAR TO THE NAME “EINSIEDEL”???????
:/
“Lita” as the nickname for “Estelita” is cute, though.
Also just found out that our caterer, whose 18th birthday is this year (he was born on a Leap Year!), is Teodulo, not Ted. That is a really cool name.
Rolly?

I’m addressing some invitations for friends of my grandparents, and four couples in, I already have some issues. My biggest problem is how to formally address people who go by names that are radically different than their real names, and I’m not sure if they are the right people at the addresses I am finding [...]

Ingrid Michaelson told the world her favorite romantic songs for Valentine’s Day in this article, and I was surprised that three of them were going to be played at our wedding. Roxors!
Happy Valentine’s Day!
This is how we roll.

Umm, yeah: absolute cuteness. And I’m not even trying to kick Billy or anything!
We just got our engagement pictures back from Heather Ahrens, and they are really nice! Like, really. Like, I never thought anyone could actually capture me not sticking my tongue out at Billy. Like, we look like we’re in love and stuff. [...]
Faux table!

Recently, I have been very antsy about how the reception tables will look like. I have limited resources in the house, but I worked with that I had, and this is what I came up with. Elements: paper flowers, pretty round glasses, favor boxes, candles, cd favors, tulle as an overlay, and a mattress cover as the table [...]
Bouquets I Actually Love

As of this moment, I am having a mostly flowerless wedding. I don’t often care for flowers unless they’re uber-cute or from Billy, and sometimes, they look really odd to me. But, if I did have flowers, I would have bouquets like these. Last week, I fell head-over-heels with the dahlia as a wedding flower… [...]
The Fil-Am

Here are some pictures of where our reception will be held, the Filipino-American Community Center. It’s not a grand ballroom or a pleasant garden setting, but it’s practically a second home. As much as I had wanted a blank warehouse for the reception, I really couldn’t do it anywhere else but the Fil-Am. I had [...]
Light Up My Room*

There were several different “looks” that I have had about my wedding in the past. When I was a child, I dreamt of getting married at a very old castle in a very formal and stuffy event that involved me in a huge ballgown. Then there was my red and black version, my Asian-themed version, and [...]

I just realized I never blogged about our photographer! Oh, deary- thinking about the long process that was involved in finding and booking a photographer makes me dizzy, which is probably why I have not revisited the issue in months. I am so happy to have Heather Ahrens as our photographer. We were unable to [...]
Old Christ Church

Billy and I will be married at Old Christ Church in downtown Pensacola. It is a non-demoninational historical church, and we have always wanted to get married there. We’ve walked by that place so many times, and I even made Billy sit with me on a bench to stalk a wedding there last year (losers). [...]
We tooooooooootally need a picture like this.

Or not. But that’d be cute!
This is a picture from the Etsy lovey-dovey story profile of the owners of LazerBeanz, Elise and Justin. At their wedding, Justin wore a toybreaker tie, a tie similar to the one I want Billy and his guys to wear, but he has no interest. *ugh* I may have to force him [...]
How should I wear my hair?

Or, “How I found out that Googling “Vanessa Hudgens” was not a good idea.” Last week, I saw Vanessa Hudgens on the television, and I really liked her hair. Excuse the following random pictures of her and Brenda Song, and please do not think I watch the Disney Channel all day. They are just really [...]
How do I put the look together?: The Bridal Issue

These are the pieces. Please put them together. (I’d show my dress here, but I know Billy checks this site daily… so no.)
My hairpiece from myrakim.
Actual picture of Myra (creator of my hairpiece) at her wedding, from her Flickr. I loved her hair!
I want a drop veil sooooooo badly. I’m just not sure if it [...]
How do I put together the look?

This is my inspiration. Basic components are paper, flowers, branches, and candles. Plain white tabletops with branches, candles, and paper flowers, hints of pink and brown, and pink pom-poms hanging from the ceilings.
Hey!… Did my friends go to your wedding?

David’s Bridal?!

I actually love this new dress from DB. I could actually become a 2-dress bride if this ever goes on sale. (But for only $399, that’s a pretty good deal.)
Kitten love!

This is the fantasy life Billy and Ali will be living after they are married: married with kittens.
Ali: I don’t pick the ugly ones.
Billy: … Except… the ugly ones… but it’s ok. I think you’re cute.
Ali’s kitten: Sarah
Billy’s kitten: Chihiro
I must figure out how to make this!

Especially with a pearl chain handle!
My life would have been so much easier if this came out when I was looking for invitations…
