Yes, the title of this posts is quite possibly the fanciest I’ve ever had on here. French makes everything seem fancier. Remember that.

An interesting situation happened last night: I taught my mother how to RSVP. Either she has never responded to an RSVP properly before, or she has never been invited to a wedding in the Western fashion (it could happen… even though she’s got to have been in the States for the last thirty years or so). She told me she was coming to the wedding over the phone, and stated that was her verbal RSVP. Then I went on this random Bridezilla-ish rant about the RSVP, and my mom got so scared that she started worrying about sending the RSVP in. Sorry, Mom.

I got two more telephone calls from my mother that night, answering questions on how to fill out the RSVP and if she had to put more stamps on the envelope. She also asked who that man on the envelope stamp was, and then realized it’s “that actor.” Yeah, I like Jimmy Stewart a little too much.

Here are some tips on how to RSVP. 🙂

1. Remember to send back the RSVP by the date stated: April 18, 2008.

2. In the line that says M_____, please put Mr., Mrs., Miss., or etc., however you would like, and then your name and that of your guest.

3. Simply put a check mark by the option of your choice: if you will be there, please put a check by “will attend.” If you are unable to attend, please put a check by “will attend in spirit.”

4. By “number of guests,” write down how many people will be in your party total.

5. Place in envelope and seal flap to close.

6. Simply drop in the mail.

7. Yay!
