I just saw this article on Apartment Therapy about mid-century sectional sofas, and I have to admit, I’ve become a sucker for the look. I’m very much a 1960s/1970s vintage kind of girl, and if I could, I’d totally make the new house reflect that. Modern vintage is a very clean and beautiful way of living, and it’s something Billy and I can agree on. The style is so simplistic, and a little can go a long way in terms of design. Furnishing our home for the time being was a blessing- we had or acquired MANY of the necessities from Billy’s family. All of our bedrooms have beds in them!! Our biggest purchase for the house will be a couch, one day soon. And we like things that have buttons somewhere. The look of these couches fit with our current home (being a late 1950s home) so much, I want them all! (Too bad they are very expensive (= thousands of dollars), and the cheapest one we could find so far is $699.) Or there’s the $600 Karlstad at IKEA. Meh.
